You can purchase No.11 scalpel blades from most craft stores but also online. We recommend Swann Morton blades.

Does the blade lock open?

The blade opens and closes with spring tension so it is not locked but secure.

Is this TSA compliant?

Yes, you can remove/replace the blade so you can keep the tool.

Is this compatible with x-Acto #11 blades?

It is not compatible with the x-Aacto blade. It uses other No.11 blades
such as the Swann Morton No.11 blade used for incisions.
