About the Designer

Lanning Stern graduated from Art Center College of Design & then received his MFA in intermedia at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. His work includes projects for Chronicle Books, Esprit International, Continental Airlines and Acme Jewelry. Stern is a professor & currently the Associate Director of Design at San José State University in northern California.
