This compact and powerful purifier continually draws air from the room into its ceramic core, efficiently heating it to over 400 ºF and instantly sterilizing it. The purified air is then cooled inside the device before being returned to the room. Best of all, Airfree's exclusive technology does not require any filters or maintenance. Yes, it plugs into a regular US electrical outlet and it is 120 volts.
If it heats to kill the germs, how much heat does it create in a room?It will create the same amount of heat as if there were 2 people in the room. It will not generate a significant amount of heat.
Can the light be turned off?Yes, the light can be turned off. There is a touch sensor where you can either dim the light or turn it off.
Is there no maintenance required at all?Yes. As long as it is warm on top the unit is working and you don't need to do anything at all.
Are there filters to buy or periodic cleaning involved?No, there is nothing to do at all.
Can you explain how it works?The patented ceramic core heats up to 4000 degrees. Organic microorganisms such as germs, bacteria, mold spores, dust mites, and other allergens will denature when in contact with that heat for more than 1 second. This means they will not be harmful when they leave the unit.
