About the Designer
Alan received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He taught at Cornell School of Architecture from 1969 until 1973 and was Professor of Architecture at Princeton University from 1973 until 1986. He was the first Sargent Visiting Professor at Syracuse University and twice named the Kea Distinguished Professor at the University of Maryland. There are many ways to describe the accomplishments of Alan Chimacoff, but perhaps the most significant are his photographic works, which take inspiration from his architectural background to incredible effect.
