Cuervo y Sobrinos’ original jewelry shop was dubbed “La Casa” and located on Quinta Avenida, a famous arterial street in Havana. They quickly became the most important jewelers in the city and gained international notoriety. Today Cuervo creates their timepieces in a magnificent nineteenth-century Swiss villa known as the Capolago house. Overlooking the shores of Lake Lugano—a gorgeous glacial lake at the Swiss-Italian border—the Capolago house serves as their manufacturing, assembly, marketing, and sales headquarters.
