Byzantine Empire, c. 9th-12th century AD. Bronze ring with raised teardrop-shaped bezel engraved with deeply-cut floral-cross design. The thick bezel with diagonal hatched-line design around the edge, the band with a small knob at base. Wearable, very nicely preserved, with dark brassy tone.
