Fantastic Luristan bronze dagger, ancient Persia, c. 1200 - 800 BCE. The handle and blade cast as one piece, the tapering blade with pronounced midrib, the shoulder rounded with handle and pommel with raised flange for inlay extending onto the base of the blade with horn-like crescents. Well-preserved with olive-green patina and light earthen deposits. A very nice example!
