Product Description

Ancient Egypt. Late period, 30th Dynasty, c. 360 - 343 BC. A very large and nice blue faience ushabti burial figure, a servant to the deceased in the afterlife. Depicted mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and false beard. Arms crossed across chest with hands holding pick and hoe. Down the front a column of hieroglyphic text from the Book of the Dead in deep blue under nice light blue glaze. Intact and a nice example of this type.

Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
