Product Description
A large Roman bronze cup with single handle, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, formed from hammered sheet bronze. A strap handle, decorated with an incised zig-zag pattern, is attached with two rivets, both of which still remain intact with a small area of old restoration on the rim and another above the foot. Encrusted throughout with a nice red-brown patina. Very nice! Likely a legionary type.
