Ancient Judaea, circa “Year Zero”. Nice Herodian ceramic oil lamp, made c. 4 BC - 4 AD. This was the type of lamp that would have been used to light the inside of Jesus' tomb after His crucifixion. With a rounded, flat body and flared nozzle. Ancient reddish Holy Land earthen deposits on the surfaces.
