Ancient Egypt, Late Period, c. 664 – 30 BC. Nice polychrome wooden uraeus (erect cobra) with solar disc atop its head. Originally from a shrine, the remains of which have been lost to history. Nicely preserved with fresh green, red, yellow and black paint over a crème ground.
