Product Description
A beautiful Gandharan stucco head from the Indus Valley, ca. 4th-5th Century AD. This choice example is 4” high and portrays Buddha with elongated ears, pierced lobes, and convex Urna. He is depicted with the classic serene expression and curly coif gathered into a top knot. An absolutely beautiful example, in excellent condition, with good mineral deposits. Light traces of red paint still visible in some of the features. Mounted on stand.
