This is a wonderful and vibrant Egyptian ushabti from the 3rd Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC. Ushabtis are a burial figure, servant to the deceased in the afterlife.
This one is depicted in mummiform, wearing tripartite headdress, arms folded at chest and holding hoes, a basket ant small pot on a rope at back, vertical column of hieroglyphic text down from of legs. A fantastic example with brilliant blue glaze and details in deep black, with an antique wood base.
