The name chukka supposedly comes from the game of polo, where a "chukka" or "chukker" is a period of play. The desert boot, a form of the chukka boot, was originally worn by British soldiers in the Sahara during the North African Campaign of World War II. This two-eyed Sahara Chukka has been perfected to combine the finesse of the classic chukka and the comfort of the desert boot.
