Moldavites were formed by the massive impact 15 million years ago in what is now Czech Republic. This museum-grade moldavite is a member of the Tektite group, and consist of a glass-like mixture of silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, along with other metal oxides. This large piece has such a vibrant forest green color with almost a velvety luster and has its naturally textured surface.
