Nantan Meteorite in Collector’s Box
Discovered in 1958 in Guangxi, China while searching for materials for smelting, the Nantan meteor is believed to have fallen to earth around the year 1516. Primarily meteoric iron, these meteorites have a concentration of 6.96% nickel. The largest fragment found thus far weighs 4,400 pounds.
