The Automatic Fire Extinguisher Ball is a decorative fire extinguisher apparatus that utilizes a micro gas generating system much like an airbag to disperse a dry chemical into a fire and put it out. After 3-10 seconds of contact with the fire, the ball automatically deploys, releasing a fire-retardant chemical that is safe and toxic free, even for children and pets. Is there a visible gage on the unit showing it is good/operating condition (like on a fire extinguisher) or does the owner have to keep track of the 15 years shelf life himself?

Each device is equipped with a serial number to track the age and purchase date. You can also tell when it needs to be replaced by the color. The ball will turn nearly entirely white when it is time to replace it.

Does the weight of each extinguisher ball effect the size of the fire it can suppress? If so what is the breakdown by weight?

Yes. 1 lb is sufficient for 1 cubic meter of fire. 3 lbs is sufficient for 3 cubic meters etc.
