Bearifi Edge Mesh Whole Home Smart Wi-Fi System
The Bearifi Edge Mesh Smart Wi-Fi System comes with one Bearifi Edge Mesh AP router and one satellite. The router is your mission control. This is the device you configure, and then it sends signal to the Satellite, creating the first ever dual-mode and dual-band mesh WiFi system.
In Wi-Fi Extender mode, you can repeat an existing Wi-Fi signal from your current router. In this mode, BeariFi Edge Mesh creates a separate Wi-Fi network called "Bearifi" that broadcasts in your home. You can change the network name to match your home network if you want to roam between your router and the Bearifi devices (network will be on a different IP chain though).
If you wish to replace your existing router, or want all devices on your home to be part of the same IP chain, you can set up the Bearifi Mesh AP Router in Router mode. It will send signal to all satellites on the network with automatic roaming.
This system can be quickly configured using any device with a web browser, no need to download yet another app to your phone. Once you have configured the router, simply plug in your satellite elsewhere in the home, and the satellite and the router will immediately begin communicating and extending the signal without any further configuration.
Using their proprietary, award-winning Beamforming technology, Bearifi can intuitively send signals directly toward connected devices, unlike other extenders and routers that send out reception in a circular pattern no matter when your devices are located. This allows for better penetration of obstacles and interference. Bearifi also uses smart technology to connect your devices on either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band signal, with full roaming capability, so your device will always be on the best band for maximum performance.
This setup is universally compatible with any Wi-Fi enabled device including the newest smart TVs, refrigerators, and even Amazon's Echo products. Configuration requires a device with standard web browser (such as computer, tablet, or cellphone). Configure using a PC, Mac, Android device, iPhone, or iPad. Once configured, any Wi-Fi enabled device can connect to get Internet, including video game systems, DVRs, and streaming media players. Bearifi Edge Mesh AP Router and Satellite units also have Gigabit and 10/100 Ethernet ports for any LAN devices in your home or office.

The input power is 100-240V AC 50/60Hz.Would this improve my cell phone service?
No, it does not help with cell phone voice or 4G data reception but can boost the cell phone's Wi-Fi reception. It would not help in situations where you don't get good reception for calls or 4G data connection. Will this help to boost your signal in the mountains?
If you are trying to pick up a weak signal outside of a mountain cabin,
such as coming from a park nearby, this would not be the right solution.
If you have a WiFi signal in your mountain home already and there is
good coverage on one side of the home but not in some areas of the home, then this could be a great solution because it will help boost the
signal already in your home.
The kit can cover up to about 4200 square feet in most homes. The
Bearifi Edge Mesh AP is the central unit and should be placed near the center of the home. Each Satellite communicates back directly with the
Bearifi Edge Mesh AP and should be placed where additional coverage is needed. You cannot link Satellites to each other to cover an unlimited distance.
