Ice and gels are popular for reducing pain and swelling, but both are painfully cold to use, and can even cause frostbite if used for too long. The included Modular CoolTherapy Packs (MCPs) allow targeted CoolTherapy to a number of injury sites using either the provided back wrap, knee/ankle wrap, or elbow wrap. Packs provide up to 1.5 hours of continuous CoolTherapy and recharge in the same amount of time in the freezer or in ice water. The regulated temperature output of Black Ice allows safer, more efficient, direct pack-to-skin contact than ice or gels, maximizing thermodynamic efficiency and providing continuous, drug-free relief for both acute and chronic pain and swelling.

The SX CoolTherapy Wraps is designed for sports injuries like MCL/ACL, ankle sprains, and tennis and golfer's elbow. Just like a standard Ace wrap, simply place the packs directly on the skin at the pain site, then roll the wrap around the site, attaching the end of the wrap to itself with the Velcro tab. You can then adjust the compression by pulling more tightly as you apply the wrap. Black Ice suggests using 4 packs for the knee, while 2-3 packs work best for the ankle or elbow.

Use the BX CoolTherapy Wrap for chronic or acute back pain. After charging, attach the packs to the wrap so they target the area of pain. Place the wrap around the waist and fasten with the Velcro tab. Pull and reattach the compression straps as needed. Black Ice suggests using 4 packs with the BX wrap.
