Bodega Benegas produces some of Mendoza’s top wines from a mix of Bordeaux vines planted in the 1930s and ‘60s. Their maturity translates to delicious complexity in wines that are more reminiscent of their French heritage than South American sunshine. Owner and Winemaker Federico Benegas hired renowned Bordeaux wine consultants Michel Rolland and Daniel Llose as well as the prestigious winemaker Paul Hobbs to help create his wines.

With Bordeaux style plus the intensity of Andean sun, and the passion only a family legacy inspires, Benegas Cabernet Sauvignon is a fresh, unique bottle that blends sophistication with rustic tradition. The 2015 leaps from the glass with ripe blackberry flavors, black pepper, and fresh herbaceous notes like rosemary, sage, and thyme.

Beneath the towering Andes Mountains lies one of the world’s most extraordinary wine regions in the heart of a hot and dry desert. The geography of Mendoza, with all its stones and sunshine, has propelled it to become one of the 10 Great Wine Capitals of the World. 70% of the wine from Argentina is made in Mendoza.
