Named one of Time's Best Inventions of 2020, the B2 Mask is an industrial-grade, reusable face mask featuring changeable filters. Originally geared towards protection from air pollution, smog and wildfires, the B2 Mask has taken on a new purpose during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike N95 and other disposable masks, the B2 is a low-waste alternative made from durable materials that can be washed and worn over again. This reusable construction can help to reduce waste up to 80%.

There are no valves in the B2 Mask. Both inhaled and exhaled air is filtered through high efficiency filters. The dedicated changeable filters are designed to protect you from 99.6%-98.3% of airborne particles, down to 0.1 micron, while significantly reducing filter waste and cost. An original B2 filter set lasts for unlimited wear time up to 1 month after opening. It is recommended that you change the filter based on use, if it gets wet, or if you think it has been contaminated. Changing the filter at regular intervals helps ensure the highest level of protection.

A well-fitting mask is critical to comfort and performance. The B2 has a compact size that sits low on the nose and on the surface of the chin, as opposed to other masks that sit under the chin. The ergonomic face piece is made of soft, FDA-compliant materials that conform to your face shape for a protective, anti-fog seal. The interchangeable, adjustable, and breathable textile overlay then securely goes on top of the face piece to then wear. The adjustable Velcro strap design helps to eliminate ear rashes caused by most standard masks and gives you the perfect fit. The B2 is extremely breathable for a face mask, and exceeds the recommended breathing resistance required by NIOSH for Filtering Facepiece Respirators. So light breathing from activities like walking, desk work, or driving will be easier than heavy breathing from activities like long flights of stairs or hard labor.

When not in use, the B2 Mask can be folded in half with the overlay straps used to secure it closed. Alternatively, the mask can be left on a clean surface or hung somewhere that is out of the way. It is not recommended to store the mask in a sealed container as that prevents moisture evaporation.

Does this fit someone that has a long pointed nose?

The B2 Mask is designed to sit low on the bridge of your nose. If you have a prominent or low nose bridge, you can flip the inner seal up achieve a tighter fit.

How many filters are provided?

The B2 starter kit comes with 5 sets of filters.

Does this contain latex or other common allergens anywhere in its construction?

The facepiece is made up of FDA-Compliant TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) & Polypropylene. No, it does not contain latex or any common allergens.

Where do you get the filters from?

The B2 filters are made locally in the US and are made up of Melt-Blown & Electro-Statically Charged Polypropylene.

They can be purchased from the Breath99 website.

Will the mask fit children?

It is not suitable for kids.

Do you have to put in a new filter every time or can you wash the old one?

B2 filters cannot be washed.
