After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Waterloo, Drew Mayville joined the Seagram's Distillery as an apprentice. During his 22-year career at Seagrams, however, Mayville wore a number of different hats, including Director of Quality, Director of Bottling and finally, Master Blender (Mayville was only the fourth Master Blender to serve under the Seagram Dynasty). After the Seagram's Distillery finally closed its doors, Mayville joined Buffalo Trace, where he retained the title of Master Blender.

Caribou Crossing Single Barrel Canadian Whisky was crafted from the finest drops of their master collection of 200,000 barrels of Whisky that were hand-selected by Mayville himself. The whisky has a slightly fruity aroma, with notes of orange, vanilla, caramel, and honey. Caribou Crossing earned a score of 93 points from Whisky Advocate, and the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014.

Tasting Notes
Vanilla, toasted marshmallow, crème brulee, peaches, and soft rye spices dominate the palate, and are complemented by a soft undertone of oak. The finish is well-balanced and delicious, with gentle spices lingering throughout.
