It comes equipped standard with a Shimano Alfine 11-speed internally geared hub. This 409% gear range solution has all the range most riders require to pedal up the steepest hills and quickly accelerate on flat pavement. It can be shifted at a stand still, requires virtually no maintenance and protects your drive train from the elements. Gears shift using a fast mechanical trigger thumb shifter mounted on the handlebar.
