Charles Maher learned to drive at age 14, at the wheel of a '55 Chevy Bel Aire — but it wasn't until he went to races that the car bug really bit. After paying his dues designing at Ford and designing production car graphics for Ford, GM, Honda, and Toyota, he decided to embark on an arts career that incorporated his need for speed. A past president of the National Automotive Artists Association, and currently a committee member for the Meadow Brook Historic Races, he's done paintings for AutoWeek, Racer, Road & Track, Mustang, Automobile, and Car Collector magazines.
