Product Description

Being offered today is a 1935 “D” series “NARROW” $ 1 Silver Certificate. This note is in CHOICE UNCIRCULATED CONDITION!

This note is the “NARROW” version of this series as compared to the “WIDE” series. The way you can tell if the note is narrow or wide is by looking at the space below the “ONE DOLLAR” at the bottom of the note. The “NARROW” has a smaller gap between the “ONE DOLLAR” as compared to the “WIDE”. These two types of notes are among the key dates in this series!

This sale is for someone wanting a specific note for their collection. The benefit here is that you can build your collection based on your needs. You can complete your 1935 $1 Silver Certificate collection by selecting the note that best meets your requirements.

This note is not randomly selected for you. After all, shouldn’t you decide what note you want to buy? This is the “D” “NARROW” note in the series. My other sales will have the other notes in this series (see below). So, you can start and almost complete an entire 1935 $ 1 Silver Certificate collection!

The note is centered very well, and the ink just pops off the note. The colors are bright and bold. This note has fantastic eye appeal. The note shows no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the note are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears. Each note will be encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holders are made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated notes and tampering.

This note will be an excellent addition to anyone’s collection! Quality is what we are all about!

The 1935 $1 dollar Silver Certificate has 9 different notes in the series. They start at 1935 and then go from 1935 “A” to 1935 “H”. The reason for the different types of notes is that when the “Treasurer of the United States” or the “Secretary of the Treasury” changes (see signatures at the bottom of the note), by law they must print notes bearing their name. That is how the “A” through “H” series works, or any other dated currency with multiple lettering in the series. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP will print millions of “backs” of notes for a series. Then print a set number of “fronts” of the notes as needed for the series with the correct Treasurer of The United States or Secretary of The Treasury. You can locate their signatures on the bottom left side and bottom right side of the front of the note.

The Silver Certificate is designated by the Blue Seal on the right center of the note. It also has “Silver Certificate” on the top center of the note. The notes are all in Choice Uncirculated condition or higher. They look like they were just printed yesterday. All of the notes that we offer will be of a high grade or we don’t sell them.
