Product Description

Being offered today is a rare pair of JAMES BOND 007, 1935 “D” series “NARROW” $ 1 Silver Certificate. There are 2 consecutive James Bond notes. Serial Numbers: P 01440077 F – P 01440078 F. These notes are in CHOICE UNCIRCULATED CONDITION!

This note is the “NARROW” version of this series as compared to the “WIDE” series. The way you can tell if the note is narrow or wide is by looking at the space below the “ONE DOLLAR” at the bottom of the note. The “NARROW” has a smaller gap between the “ONE DOLLAR” as compared to the “WIDE”. These two types of notes are among the key dates in this series!

This sale is for someone wanting a specific note for their collection. The benefit here is that you can build your collection based on your needs. You can complete your 1935 $1 Silver Certificate collection by selecting the note that best meets your requirements.

This note is not randomly selected for you. After all, shouldn’t you decide what note you want to buy? This is the “D” “NARROW” note in the series. My other sales will have the other notes in this series (see below). So, you can start and almost complete an entire 1935 $ 1 Silver Certificate collection!

The notes are centered very well, and the ink just pops off the notes. The colors are bright and bold. These notes have fantastic eye appeal. The notes show no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the notes are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears. Each note will be encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holders are made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated notes and tampering.

These notes would be a great conversation piece and will be an excellent addition to anyone’s collection! Quality is what we are all about!

The 1935 $1 dollar Silver Certificate has 9 different notes in the series. They start at 1935 and then go from 1935 “A” to 1935 “H”. The reason for the different types of notes is that when the “Treasurer of the United States” or the “Secretary of the Treasury” changes (see signatures at the bottom of the note), by law they must print notes bearing their name. That is how the “A” through “H” series works, or any other dated currency with multiple lettering in the series. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP will print millions of “backs” of notes for a series. Then print a set number of “fronts” of the notes as needed for the series with the correct Treasurer of The United States or Secretary of The Treasury. You can locate their signatures on the bottom left side and bottom right side of the front of the note.
