Being offered today is a SUPER HIGH GRADE $1 Dollar 1899 BLACK EAGLE SIVER CERTIFICATE NOTE in the large size series. THIS IS A VERY RARE NOTE IN THIS HIGH CONDITION. This note carries a grade of PCGS 66 GEM UNCIRCULATED PREMIUM PAPER QUALITY (PPQ). In addition to all the other great qualities of the note, the paper is blazing white. Which really adds to the eye appeal. This is what really makes this note stand out from all the others!

The Gem Uncirculated and PPQ designation shows that the note looks like it was just printed. This note has the date of 1899 to “the right side of the note”. If you look to the right side of the blue seal, you will see that the date is on the side of the note. That is why this note is called “Date Right”.

This note has tremendous eye appeal. deep embossing, and perfect centering. The paper is bright with bold inking. It has sharp edges and corners. This grading is the highest you can get under the PCGS guidelines for a 66 grade. The Silver Certificate note is identified by the number”1” on the left side of the note, and the “Blue Seal” on the right side of the note.

The note shows no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the note are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears. The note is encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holder is made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated note and protects against counterfeiting and tampering. The note pictured is the note you will receive. If you take a look at the pictures, it will show red and blue fibers in the note. This was another way that the Bureau of Engraving and Printing prevented these notes from being counterfeited.
