1935 B $ 1 Silver Certificate
Product Description
Being offered today is a 1935 “B” Series $ 1 Silver Certificate. This note is in CHOICE UNCIRCULATED CONDITION! The note is 90 years old, but it looks like it was just printed yesterday.
The margins are centered very well. The vibrant colors and well-preserved paper add to its visual eye appeal. The intricate details of the design, including the finely engraved vignettes and intricate patterns, remain crisp and sharp.
The note will be encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holders are made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated notes and tampering.
The 1935 $1 dollar Silver Certificate has 9 different notes in the series. They start at 1935 and then go from 1935 “A” to 1935 “H”. The reason for the different types of notes is that when the “Treasurer of the United States” or the “Secretary of the Treasury” changes (see signatures at the bottom of the note), by law they must print notes bearing their name. That is how the “A” through “H” series works, or any other dated currency with multiple lettering in the series.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP will print millions of “backs” of notes for a series. Then print a set number of “fronts” of the notes as needed for the series with the correct Treasurer of The United States or Secretary of The Treasury. You can locate their signatures on the bottom left side and bottom right side of the front of the note.
The Silver Certificate is designated by the Blue Seal on the right center of the note. It also has “Silver Certificate” on the top center of the note.
