2017 A STAR $ 50 Federal Reserve

Being offered today is a RARE 2017 A STAR $50 Federal Reserve note. The STAR signifies a “replacement note”. The note is in Choice Uncirculated (CU).

STAR Notes are far more valuable than a regular printed note. It is extremely rare to find STAR notes in this condition.

The note is centered very well. The colors are bright and bold. This note has fantastic eye appeal. The note shows no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. Each note will be encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holders are made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated notes and tampering.

When The Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP prints a sheet of notes and they are damaged in any way, the notes must be destroyed. By law, they need to print notes bearing the damaged serial numbers. When they print the new notes, they must bear a STAR after the serial number. This designates the note as a “replacement note”.
