2018 S Kennedy Half Dollar 50TH ANNAVERSARY REVERSE PROOF MS 70 DEEP CAMEO # 420

We are presenting a SILVER 2018 S (San Francisco) Kennedy Half Dollar graded by ANACS in REVERSE PROOF DEEP CAMEO (DCAM) Mint State (MS) 70. This coin is graded a perfect 70. There is no grade higher, this is the top of the scale.

Silver is up 37.2% since January.

This coin also has the rare Golden Gate Bridge label. This matches the location of the San Francisco Mint, which is where the coin was struck.

Proof coins are coins that the US Mint makes differently than standard circulating coins used for change.  Proof coins are manufactured by striking the coin numerous times under increased pressure to make the field (flat portion of the coin) have a mirrored finish.  

Proof coins are specifically made for collectors since they have better eye appeal than standard circulating coins. Additionally, this coin has the Reverse Deep Cameo designation. This happens when the surface of the coin’s devices and the mirrored finish of the coin’s field are very pronounced.
