1928 $ 2 Legal Tenders 2 Consecutive # 156 - 157

Being offered today is a pair of consecutive high grade 1928 series $2.00 Legal Tender notes. These notes are very hard to source in this condition. When you factor in that these notes are consecutive, this really is something you want for your collection. The serial numbers are: A 39023156 A and A 39023157 A. The “A” block shows that these notes were among the first printings.

This is another example of a high grade note that is Gem Uncirculated condition. It looks like the note was just printed yesterday. These Legal Tender notes are designated by the Red Seal on the left center of the note. It also has “THIS NOTE IS A LEGAL TENDER AT ITS FACE VALUE FOR ALL DEBTS PUBLIC AND PRIVATE” embossed over the red seal (see pictures).

The notes are centered very well, and the ink just pops off the notes. The colors are bright and bold. The notes have fantastic eye appeal. The notes show no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the notes are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears.
