WTF Star // Giclée Print

Something massive is blocking the light from Boyajian’s Star. Dubbed "The Most Mysterious Star in Galaxy", Boyajian’s Star (aka Tabby’s Star, The WTF Star) is an F-type main-sequence star located approximately 1,470 light-years from Earth. In 2015, unusual and erratic light fluctuations— including up to a 22% dimming in brightness— were captured by the Kepler Space Telescope. Wanting to understand the strange light pattern, astronomer and manager of the Planet Hunters citizen science project, Dr. Tabetha Boyajian put several hypotheses to the test in a paper titled "Where's the Flux?"

Created in cooperation with Dr. Boyajian herself, this WTF Star print collects all the current theories that explain the star’s highly irregular behavior.
