About the Designer

Ben Lang is an eight year Army Veteran who served in Special Operations as a member of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. After concluding his military service and spending two years as a Targeting Officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency, Ben decided to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions with family and friends. Ben's desire to improve human experiences led him to focus on creating design-led solutions. As a result of his new path, he applied for and was accepted to attend Parsons The New School for Design, one of the world's most prestigious design universities.

During Ben's first semester at Parsons, a friend asked him why he would take his wallet out of his back pocket whenever he went to sit down. That question served as the impetus for a greater discussion about the purpose of wallets, which ultimately caused Ben to rethink the wallet.

The Panel Wallet embodies the type of high design and functionality Ben thinks consumers deserve. Relying on similar ideals to those found in the Special Operations community, Ben designed Panels to have the smallest and lightest possible form that would provide maximum functionality while supporting bi-folded bills, as well as standard banking and identification cards. The materials Ben chose at the core of each Panel (aluminum and titanium) are passive RFID blocking, which provide another layer of functionality to their users. Each of the finishes Ben selected provides a high quality aesthetic, while the smooth notches and outer edges minimize wear on your garments and silicone bands. Ben also took the time to custom engineer the silicone bands to provide maximum durability and firmly secure your essentials, both on your Panel and in your pocket.

After spending the last year and a half learning about the apparel and accessories industry while mastering manufacturing processes, Ben has started to design a line of high-end, military-inspired lifestyle goods which will be sold under the brand 'Sergeant Lang.' Ben wants to continue to develop solutions to common problems and deliver high quality, highly functional products to the marketplace.
