They are water-resistant. Unfortunately, anything with a lace is not 100%waterproof.

What is the width of the shoes? Are they suitable for men & women?

The boots are unisex. They do have a generous toe box and width.

Do they run true to size?

They are true to size. We recommend a size up if you are going to wear or want the option of socks.

How true to size is this fit?

If you want to wear socks then we would recommend going up a size. If you choose to go barefoot or a very thin pair of socks then your regular size should be fine.
