However, they do take time and patience, and will only flourish where light conditions are adequate. Peppers slowly ripen from green to yellow, to purple, orange, and finally red. The small plant is constantly filled with multi-colored fruits throughout the growing season. Chillies are known for growing slow, but they also award the grower with gorgeous plants and mind-blowing fruits. Your first sprouts should appear in two to three weeks.
