95 Point Conn Valley Vineyards Signature Napa Cabernet Sauvignon // 2 Bottles

Conn Valley Vineyards - a 40-acre estate located just south of Howell Mountain in Conn Valley, California - has been owned and operated by the Anderson family since 1983.

Four generations of Andersons have worked on this property to grow the finest Cabernet fruit, and to bring out the best expression of the land’s truly unique terroir. Todd Anderson has managed the process from the first day to the present, and developed an innate knowledge of the property’s capacity to produce grapes with an ideal physiological ripeness. Todd and his family have produced prodigious wines of elegance, balance and graceful power for three decades.

Their 2015 Signature Napa Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded 95 points by Virginie Boone of Wine Enthusiast, who said: "With less than 6% Petit Verdot, this wine is made from the producer's best barrels and is seductive in wild vanilla, red currant, and plum. Expansive and succulent on the palate, the oak is well-integrated and supportive, imparting complex notes of cigar box and clove on the lengthy, spicy finish".

Wine critic Jeb Dunnuck also awarded this vintage 95 points, claiming; "the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature is based all on Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 20 months in 65% new French oak. It’s a classic wine that’s packed with notions of blackcurrants, scorched earth, tobacco leaf and roasted herbs. Rich, full-bodied and concentrated, it has the most mid-palate depth of the trio, possessing building tannin, and a great finish. It another terrific wine from this estate that has two to three decades of longevity ahead of it.”

The Andersons are especially proud of the 2015 vintage releases, and they don’t say that lightly or frivolously. There has been a great deal of spectacular wine produced on their property, and plenty to be gratified by – but these new releases are something else indeed. There is a completeness to the ‘15s that is otherworldly. They’re both powerful and elegant, stylish, structured and very complex wines.
