About the Designer

William Lam and Garrett Aida, cofounders of Dark Energy, met in a class at Brigham Young University. Although they each had promising futures ahead of them in the corporate world, they decided to start their own business. Dark Energy was created with the vision of promoting a lifestyle centered on the freedom to go and do anything, without limitations. In astrophysics, “dark energy” is the force that permeates all of space and accelerates the expansion of the universe. For William and Garrett, the name and concept became the inspiration for developing products that allow others to expand their personal universe to better accommodate a mobile lifestyle.
