Density Cubes provide a fascinating way to visualize the densities of five different metal elements. Each cube is precision cut so that it weighs the same as every other cube. This allows you to experience just how much heavier tungsten—the world's densest metal that is safe to handle—feels in your hand when compared with elements like copper and titanium.

Each cube is precision cut from high purity metals (> 99.95%) and then laser engraved with their unique periodic symbols, atomic numbers, and element names. Every cube is then hand weighed to ensure that it fits within a tight tolerance of less than 2% weight variation between cubes.

A great showpiece for your office and an excellent conversation starter, this set of fun and interactive elemental cubes includes an display base for a stylish presentation.

FAQ
Are they specially coated or treated so that they won't corrode (esp. the iron)?

The tungsten, copper, titanium, and aluminum cubes will not rust. The iron cube may rust if stored in a humid/wet environment for a prolonged period and this can be removed by soaking it in lemon juice or white vinegar for a short time. Our prototype sets have been on display for several years now with no noticeable corrosion.
