Gunmetal Round Hawaiian Curly Koa Cufflinks
Product Description
Acacia koa is a species of flowering tree in the pea family, Fabaceae. It is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Its name in the Hawaiian language, koa, also means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior. Curl is a feature of koa in which the growth of the wood fibers is distorted in an undulating chatoyant pattern, producing wavy lines known as curl. This effect is often mistakenly said to be part of the grain of the wood. However, it is more accurately called figure, as the distortion is perpendicular to the grain direction.
Show off your taste for fine craftsmanship and nature's beauty with these handcrafted cufflinks. Each pair is handmade from the most beautiful and rare woods and materials from around the world and is made one pair at a time by hand. Because unique wood grains vary greatly in color, figure, and texture, the ones you receive may differ slightly, guaranteeing you an original.
