Duluth Pack Video Thumbnail

Duluth Pack was founded in 1870 in the northern Minnesota forests by French-Canadian immigrant Camille Poirier. Originally, he built a small shoe store with the little stock of leather and tools he had at hand, but as he outfitted the early American settlers, he saw a need for a new type of pack to benefit the trappers, traders, and timber workers. After painstaking design and testing, he finally patented the C. Poirier Pack Sack on December 12th, 1882. This original pack design is still sold today as the #2 Original Pack.
