The EvaLight is a personal evaporative cooling system that cools and humidifies the air to create a tiny, local microclimate controlled by you. In addition to balancing the humidity and temperature, EvaPolar features replaceable cartridges that automatically filter dust from the air. Simply place it on a smooth, horizontal surface and plug it in to a USB port to balance and purify the air around you. You can even adjust the color and brightness of the LED to better match your decor, your mood, or keep them from bothering you at night.

Does it shut off when empty?

When the water runs out the device will work simply as a fan. The motor won't burn out.

Can it be used outside?

Yes, it can be used outside. However, if it's humid and windy, the cooling effect could be not so strong as inside.

Can you use it in a car?

Yes, sure, you can use it in a car. We recommend to keep it on a flat surface though.

What type of water (distilled, purified, spring, tap) is recommended for your products?

Basically you can use any type of water for cooling effect. However, the tap water can be with different impurities, and after some time cartridge pores become cluttered, so it's always better to use distilled or purified water to prolong cartridge lifetime.
