Cedar Ridge
Cedar Ridge // Batch 1 Rye // 750 ml
Product Description
Cedar Ridge Whiskey represents the best Midwest whiskey from America’s beloved grain belt. Many people think of Iowa as just having corn—and Cedar Ridge is perfectly fine with that. Afterall, the best ingredients make for the best bourbon, and the best corn and grains come from the most fertile soil found right here in America’s Grain Belt. The fine craftsmanship is a true reflection of Iowa’s commitment to do the best with what nature provides with minimal waste. Unlike most rye whiskeys, Cedar Ridge uses malted rye in its mash bill. Malting the rye generates an enzyme that is naturally helpful in the mashing process and adds weight and complex flavors of toast and biscuit to the whiskey.
The nose of their Batch 1 Rye is alluring and complex with notes of baked apples, honey, roasted almonds, and caramel along accents of clove, allspice, and nutmeg. The palate delivers a lush fruit and caramel core with waves of brown spice, oak, and hints of leather, and black pepper. It is medium to full-bodied with a rich fruit core with a bright dose of acidity for the perfect balance.
