Product Description

Ferroflow is a piece of art that creates amazing visual displays using ferrofluid and varying magnetic fields. Ferrofluid is a liquid that becomes strongly magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field. It was invented in 1963 by NASA's Steve Papell as a liquid rocket fuel that could be drawn toward a pump inlet using magnets in zero gravity.

By utilizing these properties, Ferroflow is able to manipulate the ferrofluid by generating large magnetic fields in order to make amazing organic shapes and fluid movements that are mesmerizing, and make for the ultimate desktop display. Crafted of brushed T8 anodized aluminum and custom, high polish laboratory glass and a stainless steel base, it's a durable and fingerprint-resistant piece that will provide a lifetime of interactive art.

This sculpture also comes with a handheld neodymium rare earth magnet. Impressive on it's own, this unique magnet lets you move and control the ferrofluid by your own hand, whenever the urge strikes.
