About the Designer
Born in Dublin, and a resident of Germany, Fintan Whelan has been exploring his art for decades. A winner of Artslant 2014 Prize in the Abstract Art Category, and with numerous solo exhibitions in Spain, Italy and Germany, Whelan has garnered much acclaim for his abstracted, dialectic painting that facilitates association with the world of things. His meticulous way of working offers insight into the balance between control and unpredictability; chance and risk are allowed full scope, so that intention and the unexpected converge.
