Claude Dansey (1876-1947) was a real life James Bond but with an even cooler codename. Claude had the codename of Z but was more commonly referred to as Colonel Z. He organized his own secret agency while he worked for the MI6 called the Z Organization. His Z organization saved the MI6 from destruction to the Nazi party. Colonel Z was a true hero who saved not only an entire secret intelligence agency but he was the difference between victory and defeat for the Allies on the Eastern Front.

Claude Dansey was never given any recognition for the work he had done. In fact he died alone with little appreciation for the impact he had made. This Colonel Z Damascus blade is named in his honor for the lives he saved and the heroic life he led.
