This state-of-the-art full color LED system is professionally installed on a Kala KA-15C concert ukulele just next to the frets to show you exactly where to put your fingers. The Fret Zealot app for iOS and Android introduces intuitive learning with an impressive suite of features that are continuously being improved and updated. It lets you learn quickly and intuitively without the constant distraction of looking at books, videos, or sheet music to find out where to put your fingers. You can concentrate on technique and finding your style right from the start.

The features include fundamentals like displaying notes, chords, scales, songs, and light effects. More advanced features include video lessons and “AI Mode” that listens for you to play the correct note or chord before moving on.

After 5 years of development, the Fret Zealot boasts a meticulous design that won't interfere with the strings or frets. The rechargeable battery lasts days and clips onto the headstock of any brand of ukulele. The audio cable connector can easily be swapped for a longer one to fit or mount anywhere.

FAQ

Will this help a kid who is learning first time? Does it comes with songs / lessons for kids to learn? Or we need to download or buy songs or lessons separately?

Yes, it can help anyone learning for the first time. There are very straightforward (and free) video lessons where some of the best instructors in the world walk you through songs and playing. The LEDs light up color-coded to the instructor's fingers as they talk on screen.

All songs are free right now. We have plans to launch a Course Marketplace in the near future for additional content from other instructors, but there are and will always be a good selection of free songs and lessons. You can download the app, set your instrument to ukulele, and check out the Lesson and Song selection! The app is free of course.

Is this uke available for left handed playing?

This ukulele is able to be converted to left-handed playing but would require you switching/reversing the strings. Alternatively, you can buy just the stand-alone Fret Zealot with no ukulele and install it on a ukulele specifically designed for left-handed playing. The Fret Zealot apps have a simple setting that will convert everything to left-handed, so no worries on the app side.

Is there a reason the strips only go down so far the neck as opposed to all the way down to include all the frets?

Even for advanced playing, it's highly unlikely you'll ever go past the 8th fret. It's neither useful nor needed on ukuleles. That's why we stop the LED strip where it is.
