The Frozen Flow Ceiling Lamp is a cylinder shape with emphasized organic folds and connects to the ceiling with a metallic stainless steel cord.
Doron Gazit has designed the “Frozen Flow” series to fixate the intense melting motion of mixed resins into one-of-a-kind pieces that illuminate. The pieces are quiet, as they have literally stopped motion, yet the beauty is strong, evoking the marble folds of a Greek statue. Gazit works only with his hands to create a dialog between the material and every unique sculpture.

About the Designer
Frozen Flow is inspired and informed by Doron Gazit’s decades-long fascination with the movement of wind and light in nature. In that body of environmental work, called Sculpting the Wind, Gazit captured air (if only moments at a time) in clear tubes and documented them photographically.
Frozen Flow is the next phase in his temporary environmental art. Now in solid form, these sculptures stop the action, allowing the viewer more time to see and enjoy the patterns of fluidity.
