Gabriela Artigas’ hand-crafted mode of production is a reflection not just of the designer’s aesthetic—but also of the way she approaches life. Most of the pieces are conceived and built under one roof, with the help of her sister Teresita, and batch-production numbers tend to hover around a dozen at a time. A piece’s production cycle is rarely continued after its initial run. It's this very approach that keeps her collections so original and fresh, every time she presents something new.

About the Designer
When asked where she draws inspiration, Gabriela Artigas smiles and gestures around her, as if to suggest everything that's in front of her. As she sees it the world at large is the wellspring of her creativity and the smallest details find their way into her artistry. She sources semiprecious stones from all over the world, and works with materials in contemporary, albeit spontaneous, ways. "The idea behind a design is just as significant as the result itself," she says. We tend to agree.
