Gevril Vanderbilt Swiss Automatic // 2690
The Swiss Made Gevril Vanderbilt Collection is a tribute to one of
Manhattan’s most prominent residences. Alva Vanderbilt hired prominent architect Richard Morris Hunt to build her Fifth Avenue chateau in 1883. She was determined to make the home a showplace, and the spectacular mansion remained one of Manhattan’s most prominent addresses until it was demolished in 1926.
As a tribute to this spectacular residence, Gevril introduced the
equally spectacular Vanderbilt Collection. Featuring a 47mm case, a skeletonized Ruben & Sons MSCH Swiss automatic, the open-heart design allows you to see the precision movement at work on both the front and back of the watch. The exhibition back is also imprinted with a stylized drawing of the famous Fifth Avenue Vanderbilt mansion.
This limited edition timepiece is encased in 316L stainless steel
and is water resistant to 165 feet. An antireflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal protects a beautiful open-heart dial that has been decorated with
Roman numeral indices and the Gevril logo at twelve o’clock. Like the famous Vanderbilt mansion, Gevril Vanderbilt timepieces were designed to be noticed.
