"Ginja" is Portuguese for sour cherry, and a very popular liqueur throughout Portugal. Its history dates back to 17th century Portuguese monks who would infuse sour morello cherries in alcohol. Ginja9 features a 12 month infusion of sour cherries from the Óbidos region in Portugal with no added colors or preservatives. The result is a dark raspberry-colored liqueur with the aromas of fresh cherries. A striking balance between sweet and tart, it is the flavor of ripe cherries in liquid form.
You can serve Ginja9 straight, chilled, or on the rocks. It's also perfect to enhance your favorite craft cocktails like mojitos, cherry mimosas, margaritas, and more. Enjoy a delectable pairing when you pour Ginja9 into the included edible dark Belgian chocolate cups.
Ginja9 Recommended Cocktails
G9 Cadillac
— 1 oz Tequila
— 1.5 oz Ginja9
— 3/4 oz Lime Juice
— 0.5 oz Agave Nectar
How to Mix: Chill your glass first. Rub the rim with a cut lime and dip glass in salt to lightly coat. In a shaker, add Ginja9, Agave Nectar, tequila, and fresh lime juice. Add 3 ice cubes and shake for 5-7 minutes. Before pouring, add 5 ice cubes to your chilled glass.
G9 Manhattan
— 1.5 oz Rye Whiskey
— 0.5 oz Ginja9
— 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
— Orange Peel or Maraschino Cherries
How to Mix: Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice, stir until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry or orange peel.
G9 Martini
— 2 oz Ginja9
— 1.5 oz Vodka
— 1/2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
— 1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
— Lemon Twist
How to Mix: In a shaker, add all three and fill with ice. Shake until very cold and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
